Zaphiro SL was carefully started in 2024 and is currently being schooled at medium (M) level by an internationally successful Grand-Prix rider.
Three expansive basic gaits, a round, uphill canter and modern conformation make him a serious candidate for the ambitious dressage arena.
Zaphiro SL impresses with an active, weight-bearing hindquarters, a willing, alert mind and the nerve to respond to fine aids despite his imposing size.

Veterinary pre-screening
You receive access to the full x-ray documentation and forward it to your vet for review.

Trial ride in Börrstadt
After your vet's go-ahead we schedule an on-site visit. You meet Zaphiro SL in the stable, in hand and under saddle.

Pre-purchase exam
If you wish to proceed, you commission a vet of your choice to perform a clinical pre-purchase exam — and any further imaging or tests.

Closing
Once we agree, the contract, payment and handover of the horse follow.

What buyers ask
Are recent x-rays available?
Yes. The complete set including poll, neck and back from 11/2025 is available online (in JPEG and DICOM format) — password on request. Older x-rays from 2023 are available on request as well.
How does a viewing work?
On site in Börrstadt. First a tour and presentation in hand on our arena, then a training ride by our rider, followed by your trial ride. Plan for one to two hours.
Who has trained Zaphiro SL?
Zaphiro SL was carefully started in 2024 and has since been schooled by an internationally successful Grand-Prix rider at medium (M) level.
Has Zaphiro SL been shown at competitions?
No. In the current market this is not economically reasonable for us — the additional effort is not adequately reflected in price.
Are there any health issues?
Zaphiro SL has been ridden regularly since 2024 and shows no health limitations to our knowledge — we would not have been able to school him to medium level otherwise. For legal reasons we do not provide our own assessment of the x-rays. We make all information available to interested buyers for evaluation by their trusted vet.
What is Zaphiro SL like in character and handling?
Zaphiro SL has a balanced, attentive character. He has the nerve to be ridden with fine aids and the focus to work with his rider. In handling he is well-mannered and uncomplicated.
Is Zaphiro SL a horse for beginners?
No. Zaphiro SL is a young, friendly and social sport horse who needs guidance from his rider under saddle. Beginners should always seek continuous support from an experienced trainer when buying a young sport horse.
What about vet, farrier, trailer transport?
Zaphiro SL is unproblematic in all of these. He goes barefoot or with shoes in front. He has been uncomplicated to load and transport so far.
Has Zaphiro SL ever experienced anything bad?
Not with us. We place great value on a sheltered yet realistic upbringing, conflict-free starting under saddle and individual, age-appropriate development — guided by the principle of nurturing and challenging.
Why are you selling Zaphiro SL?
All of our horses are sold sooner or later. We acquire promising young dressage horses as foals, raise and train them with care and then sell them to riders who appreciate our philosophy and our horses.
